Set Yourself Up For Success

Amongst the busyness of the day, it can be challenging to find time for yourself.

If it feels like every minute of your work week is accounted for, you are not alone.

According to corporate professional turned yoga teacher, PT, massage therapist, and WellFests facilitator, Minnie Samengo, “Aiming to train 5 times a week is unrealistic for most people. At the start of every week I add a time slot each day in my diary for me, whether it’s 45 minutes, 30 minutes, or 10 minutes to make sure this is a non negotiable.”

For Minnie, movement is her medicine.

She believes the more you move the better you feel physically and mentally. Start where you are at, the small changes will lead to lasting results!

Try Minnie’s 5-minute morning exercise routine below.

The intention of her sequence is to help her start the day the best way possible and to be the best she can be all day.

  • 2-minutes of breathwork! Breathe in for 3 counts, hold for 4 counts, breathe out for 5 counts.

  • 2-minutes of gentle stretches.

  • 1-minute of positive affirmations. Whether it’s repeating ‘I am happy’, ‘I am healthy’, ‘I am safe’, ‘I am stress free'.
